Welcome to planDisney, Shauna!
The holidays are my favorite time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, so I'm glad I get to answer your question today. While we don't quite know what to expect this festive season, I haven't missed a Christmas at the Most Magical Place On Earth in almost a decade so I'm happy to share with you what my experience has been.
On days when there is no
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at
Magic Kingdom Park, the nighttime spectacular
Happily Ever After will run as normal. Nights with a Party will not have Happily Ever After as the Theme Park closes to day guests at 6:00 p.m. and Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will be shown later that night. One of my favorite recent additions to the holiday festivities is the dazzling projections on
Cinderella Castle. I'm pleased to tell you that these projections happen every evening and not just during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's a great opportunity to get some gorgeous photos and kick off the Yuletide season in a big way. A few years ago, my friends and I got matching Christmas pajamas and took tons of pictures with the different projection scenes and they are some of my most treasured vacation photos!
I hope this answers your question, Shauna, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
