Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Connie!
I'm visiting Walt Disney World Resort later this year as well and one of the things I'm most looking forward to is testing out the
Disney Skyliner for myself! I've also booked myself a stay
Disney's Pop Century Resort because, aside from already being one of my favorite
Resort Hotels, it now has the added benefit of being connected to
Epcot and
Disney's Hollywood Studios by the brand new gondola transportation system. I was telling some of my fellow
Panelists just this morning that I can't wait to glide down over World Showcase like I'm Mary Poppins!
The Disney Skyliner station that services both Disney's Pop Century Resort and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is located on Generation Gap bridge, which spans Hourglass Lake and connects both of those Resort Hotels. The '60's buildings still remain my favorite place to be at Disney's Pop Century Resort because they're close to the Hippy Dippy Pool as well as the main building, Classic Hall. Now they're even better because they're also the closest buildings to the Disney Skyliner station! The west side of the '60's buildings are probably the closest you'll get, but the '50's and '70's sections are pretty close as well if you have a room on the west side of any of those buildings.
You are able to walk between both of the Resort Hotels we've been chatting about and using Generation Gap bridge is the best way to do that. It's a very quick walk and I find that walking from Classic Hall at Disney's Pop Century Resort to Animation Hall at Disney's Art of Animation Resort usually takes me about 15 minutes. This is perfect for me because I can walk to one of my favorite Quick-Service locations,
Landscape of Flavors, for some Tandoori Chicken after spending the day lounging at the pool!
I hope this answers your questions, Connie, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
