We are staying at Pop Century in December. With the Epcot monorail line coming back soon it had me wondering if we would be able to take the skyliner to Epcot, and then the monorail to Magic Kingdom? Would taking a bus from the resort to MK be faster?

Thank you for visiting us again with a great question! I am happy to share that the EPCOT monorail line has already reopened! I was so excited when I heard the news because I love taking the monorail to travel between EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park!

If you use the Disney Skyliner to travel to EPCOT, you will have to enter the park using the International Gateway and walk all the way to park entrance to take the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park. Please note that you will need valid theme park admission to enter EPCOT, as well as a Disney Park Pass reservation. In my opinion, this option is only valid if you have tickets with Park Hopper Option and plan to start your day at EPCOT. You would have to make a Disney Park Pass reservation for EPCOT, enter the park first, and then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom Park beginning at 2 PM when Park Hopper hours begin. If this is not your plan, then I recommend using bus transportation to travel from Disney’s Pop Century Resort to Magic Kingdom Park.
