Staying at Pop Century beginning Nov. 8th. I see thunderstorms in the forecast in that case will busses be going to Epcot and Hollywood Studios became of the weather? If so how often would they be running?Would it be all day or just when there are thunder?

    Howdy Tammy!

Welcome back to planDisney!  My family and I love to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for most of our Walt Disney World Resort vacations!  I am excited to help you with all your questions!

You will be at the Walt Disney World Resort in just hours!  I know you are excited, and I am so happy for you!  The Disney Skyliner typically takes guests from Disney’s Pop Century to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.  If there is inclement weather, then the Disney Bus Transportation will take you to these two theme parks.  If you see that a few showers are scheduled to be in your area when you depart, I recommend calling Guest Services at the front desk.  A Cast Member will help you with which mode of transportation is currently being provided for you to travel to each park.  I have seen the Disney Skyliner in motion with a little rain, but I would always check with a Cast Member to ensure which transportation mode you need to use.

When traveling via the Disney Bus Transportation System, it usually takes 30 minutes or less for a bus to arrive to pick up guests. Then you would need to factor in drive time to determine how long it will take to go from your resort hotel to the theme park of the day.  I recommend assuming that it will take between 45 minutes to an hour from your room to the park entrance.  I love the different modes of transportation that the Walt Disney World Resort offers.  To sit back and let Disney carry me off to Neverland is very relaxing and adds so much to your vacation!

During your stay at Disney’s Pop Century, there may be times that the Disney Skyliner is down temporarily for one of the little storms to pass, but be assured that as soon as this flight through the sky resume, it will!  The Disney Skyliner is the best way to cruise over the top of the Walt Disney World Resort property!  We love looking around and enjoying our flight!

If you have not looked at the “Restaurants that have Reopened,” then I recommend scanning through this link that I have highlighted above.  The Walt Disney World Resort is doing a fantastic job of maintaining physical distancing and minimal person-to-person contact.  To assist in this they are utilizing Mobile Food Ordering from your My Disney Experience!  With Mobile Food Ordering, you will be able to order your meal, modify it, and pay for it from your smartphone!  This will provide you more time to relax and will eliminate guests waiting in line!  You can even look through the menus and see which quick-service locations are perfect for your party!

While you are putting the last touches on your plans and finishing your packing, if you have any more questions, please come back to planDisney!  We look forward to helping you again, Tammy!  Wave hi to Mickey from all of us at planDisney!

    See Ya Real Soon,
    Tamela
