Hello! I am staying and the Polynesian and working remotely for a few days. What are the best places to eat around the resort as I tackle my daily meetings before the fireworks?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Julie!

Thank you for stopping by once again with another great question. It is a pleasure to continue to help you plan pixie-dusted memories at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I am happy to hear you are staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I cannot think of a better place to be if you have to work remotely while on your Disney getaway. This iconic Disney Resorts Collection hotel is an oasis of tropical palms and lush vegetation, so if you want to take a break from work, go outside to be “transported” to the South Pacific.

Whenever I need to take some time to recharge between work meetings, I always like to have a nice beverage and something yummy to eat. Rest assured, you will find great dining destinations at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort with delicious offerings that will give you an energy boost to get back to work. I will share my favorites with you, and hopefully, you will enjoy them just as much as I do.

If you are looking for a fast meal, I recommend Capt. Cook’s is a quick-service location offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night options. You can place your order and save time using Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. This is an excellent option because you can select an arrival window, and your order will be ready for you to pick it up. You can eat at Capt. Cook’s or take your food back to your room. If you are rushing between meetings and need a snack, you can quickly stop by Kona Island for coffee and pastries in the morning and even some sushi later in the day. If you want to give yourself a longer break from work while enjoying a nice meal, I highly recommend Kona Cafe, an excellent table-service restaurant located in the heart of the Great Ceremonial Hall where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can make reservations via the My Disney Experience mobile app, but you are also welcome to stop by and check if they can take walk-ins. Working hard while at the Walt Disney World Resort will give you the right to celebrate, so I recommend making reservations for dinner at ‘Ohana to savor their Hawaiian-flavored specialties, including the famous ‘Ohana noodles.

It was a pleasure answering your question, Julie. I hope this helps you while planning and that you have a fantastic time at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Best Disney Wishes,
    Thiana
