Oh, you are going to absolutely love your stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My husband and I were just there a few weeks ago, and I can honestly say that this has become an absolute favorite place to call home while visiting
Walt Disney World. So lovely!
Tracy, guests have several
transportation options when looking to travel from Orlando International Airport to a
Disney Resort hotel. While Mears Connect offers shared bus transportation, there are other options that can get you that private van you've requested.
First, take a look at the
Minnie Van Service. I love that Minnie Van drivers are WDW Cast Members, so they are super-knowledgable about all things Disney. While riding, do you have a question about dining? They'll likely have a few answers. Detour on the route ahead? They knew about it and planned accordingly. It's a relaxing way to get to and from any location on property, too. When we were heading out to a special dinner at California Grill and suddenly faced a soaking rainstorm as we were about to leave our room at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, we called a Minnie Van. The driver was able to pick us up right at our location; no need to head out in the rain and walk all the way to the resort lobby for pickup. They totally saved the day!
Tracy, you can also reserve Mears Luxe Car Service to pick you up at MCO in a Luxury Van (seating up to 8) or Executive Van (seating up to 13). I love this time-saving option because the van is only transporting your party--no stopping at another resort prior to starting your own vacation fun at the Polynesian. We've also used the Lyft app to preorder an "XL" ride when we were a party of 6. Super easy pickup and we were dropped off at our resort in no time.
There are also other private car services you can contact for van transportation from MCO. We've used these as well and really liked the peace of mind it provides. Seeing that driver holding a sign with our family name on it as we descend the escalator from the main concourse at the airport is a great way to start a worry-free vacation.
