Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael. I'm so glad you stopped by, and I'm so glad to hear you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
My family just returned from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and we had a positively magical stay. We've only been home for a few weeks, but I'm ready to go back! During our stay, my husband and I enjoyed a much-needed date night without the kids in tow. I'm happy to hear you're planning one too! Unfortunately, Lilo's Playhouse is no longer open, but not to fret - I have some other options for you. If your kiddos are between the ages of 4 and 12, you can drop them off at
Pixar Play Zone, a kids-only experience offered at Disney's Contemporary Resort. While perhaps not as convenient as Lilo's Playhouse would have been, Pixar Play Zone is just a short monorail ride away from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Another option is to hire an
in-room babysitter from Kid's Nite Out. Our youngest is just an infant, so we used the Kid's Nite Out service for our recent Disney date night. The sitter came right to our hotel room (super convenient) and we knew the kids were kept safe while we enjoyed a night out. You can book this service online at kidsniteout.com/in-room-sitter or by calling 800-696-8105.
There is a hot tub at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort located next to the Lava Pool. Should you choose to stay at the resort for your date night, I recommend dinner at 'Ohana followed by a visit to Trader Sam's Grog Grotto for some delicious, tropical cocktails. My husband and I went to
Disney Springs for our date night and we had the. best. time.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
