Aloha, Lynn, and please allow me to give you a welcome to planDisney that's warmer than a Hawaiian breeze! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your first visit, and even better that you'll be staying at Walt Disney World's newest resort, the Island Tower at
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. That deserves a hula dance to celebrate. Now, where did I put my grass skirt?
Prior to your arrival, you'll be able to complete your online check-in through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App or on the
Walt Disney World website on your computer desktop. Once you arrive, you'll head straight to the entrance to the Island Tower, which is separate from the main entrance to the Polynesian. If you've completed your online check-in and you have a
MagicBand+, you can scan it at the gate to be allowed in. Otherwise, there's a call button there that you can push to speak to a Cast Member who will verify your reservation and allow your entrance.
Once you enter the lobby area, take a moment to enjoy the sights and smells of the Polynesian tropics. This is the moment when your vacation truly begins. Find a friendly Cast Member with an electronic tablet and ask for a complimentary lei (exclusive to the Polynesian) and 1st Visit button. If you want to add some extra special personalization to your button, visit
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom or
Disney's Days of Christmas in the Marketplace at Disney Springs. They can personalize your button(s) with fancy lettering and extra design elements like stars for a few extra dollars.
Enjoy all the Island Tower has to offer including the
Wailulu Bar & Grill. Reservations are accepted for lunch and dinner, and
Quick-Service breakfast is available as well. I highly recommend the pineapple-coconut bread at breakfast. It's the stuff dreams are made of, beautiful, island dreams.
I hope this has been helpful to you. Have a wonderful trip, and please visit us again with any other planning questions you have.
Grab hold of your dreams!
