Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sue!
Oh, you are going to love your stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! We try to sneak in a visit to one of their restaurants at least once a year, not just because we love the food, but also because the atmosphere is so very lovely!
Although you may not have been able to get a reservation at
'Ohana for your first night, you'll be happy to know that one of our favorite restaurants--
Kona Cafe--is located there as well and often has reservations available when 'Ohana is booked. As a matter of fact, at the time of this writing, I see
two dinner reservations for a party of six available for the night of your arrival. Take a look at
Kona Cafe's menu; there is something delicious for everyone!
Keep in mind, too, that many Guests change their plans right up until that 24 hour window for cancelling
Advanced Dining Reservations. As such, keep checking back for availability as your arrival date gets closer. Someone else's change of plans may fit perfectly with your schedule.
If you are in the mood for a Quick-Service meal, check out the menu at
Capt. Cook's, or, for a really unique Polynesian experience, consider
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. Both are fantastic options for a great meal on the day you arrive.
If you'd like to adventure just a little farther, Sue, keep in mind that the monorail runs right alongside your resort, opening up so many more options for a fabulous first night dinner within moments of your home resort. Both
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and
Disney's Contemporary Resort feature fabulous Table-Service restaurants that might become a family favorite.
Happy planning! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
