We're staying at the Polynesian Resort 3-10 -11 thru 3-15-11. Any pointers on how to dress for Orlando's weather and things to do.

    Sharonna:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

I stayed at the Polynesian last year and found so many things to do right there at the resort that are hidden gems. Make sure to read through the Recreation Activities guide and smaller Directory of Services & Resort Map that you'll be given when you check-in. Most resorts offer these that detail the activities found at the resort. At the Polynesian, don't miss the hula lessons in the lobby or the Torch Lighting Ceremony in the evening. The pool typically is activity-central with games like Bingo, and make sure to catch its Volcano blowing!  My husband's favorite, the Electrical Water Pageant, can be seen from the dock at 9 p.m. The nearby Grand Floridian shows movies on the beach at night, too.

As for the weather, it can be unpredictable in Florida in mid-March, but plan on mostly shorts in the daytime and a light jacket at night. The third week of February last year had temps that kept me in jeans and a jacket, but two years ago for Spring Break--and your exact dates--saw me in shorts, even at night. Keep an eye on www.weather.com. I'd definitely pack a swimsuit and at least one change of clothes if the weather gets cold.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
