I am going to be staying at the Polynesian resort in March for the first time. I usually stay at the contemporary resort but would like to try other resorts. Can anyone give me some insight to staying at the polynesian? updated rooms?where to request room

Hi Kim! I'll be happy to assist you! Disney's Polynesian Resort is a fantastic resort choice for your vacation stay. Resort rooms are located in longhouses arranged around eleven "islands" of Polynesia. Take a look at the resort map here. Longhouses closest to the Great Ceremonial House are Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, Niue, and Rarotonga. Rooms in these longhouses offer views of inner gardens, a small marina, or the Nanea Volcano Pool. If you are willing to pay extra, you may specifically request a Lagoon-  or Magic Kingdom View Room. The best views are in the second or third floors of the Tahiti longhouse. Alternatively, make a request for the third floor in the Tuvalu longhouse. If you are willing upgrade to a Concierge Room ask for a first or third floor room in Hawaii. Please keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed. However, Cast Members will try to accommodate your preferences based on resort occupancy and other factors taking place during your arrival time. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Here's wishing you a memorable vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!
