We will be staying at the Polynesian Resort come July, 2011, I have heard that since it is one of the oldest resorts, the resort is looking worn. Is this so? Also, I have trouble walking and was wondering what longhouse would be best to be central.

    Aloha Carolyn!

I think you made an excellent choice to stay at the beautiful Polynesian Resort during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.   Although the Polynesian is one of the oldest resorts at Walt Disney World, it underwent a lengthy refurbishment which was completed in 2007 so nothing about this resort looks worn.  The rooms all have fresh new furnishings, bedding, and flat panel televisions.  And have you seen the forty foot volcano at the Nanea Volcano Pool?  There's nothing outdated about that recreational marvel.

In order to minimize walking time, I suggest you request a room in Niue, Fiji, or Roratonga as these are the longhouses closest to the Great Ceremonial House and the monorail station.

    Have a magical vacation!
