I am staying at the polynesian resort this feburary. Is it better to request a room that is close to the pools or clsoe to the restaurants? Or are they in the same location? Thank you!

    Hi Barbara!

The Polynesian is a wonderful resort! It truly has a tropical feel that totally immerses you in its ambiance!

The resort's main center is its Grand Ceremonial House. This building houses most of the resorts restaurants, a lounge, gift shops, and an arcade. It is also home to the monorail station.

Located just outside of the Grand Ceremonial House is the main pool complex. This volcano themed pool features a waterfall and fun slide. There is also a beach area, bar area, and a kids water play area here.

A quiet pool area is located to the right side of the resort (as you exit the Grand Ceremonial House) and the marina is to the left.

Quite a few longhouses are very close to these areas, but our favorite has always been Samoa and Nuie. Both of these longhouses are located between the main pool and quiet pool areas and are just a short walk from the Grand Ceremonial House.

If you'd like to add a request for either of these longhouses, be sure to call Disney at 407-939-7675 (or contact your travel agent). While room requests are never guaranteed, we've always had good luck and I hope you will too!

    Have a great trip!
