We are staying at the Polynesian 8/11-17. We want to do OHANA hopefully getting a seat close enough to see the MK fireworks. What time should we shoot for? I don't want to be there so late that my young children miss the fun of the activities as well.

    Hi John!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
Disney's Polynesian Resort and 'Ohana are pretty well my two favourite spots in all of Walt Disney World!

During the month of August, Wishes is usually shown at 10:00pm since it takes a little longer for the sun to go down at that time of year! I'd recommend a dinner reservation for a little earlier than that though, perhaps 8:30pm? This way, you can request to wait for a table at the windows for a better view of the fireworks.

If you don't mind watching the fireworks without the soundtrack (which is piped into 'Ohana's speaker system), you may prefer to dine earlier and then venture outside to watch the show from the Polynesian's Beach. You'll have a better view here with less reflection or glare off the windows. It's my favourite place from which to watch Wishes.

If you have additional questions, feel free to write me back John. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
