I will be staying at the Polynesian this month. I want to get to Hollywood Studios before it opens so that we can sign up for Star Tours. What are my 2 best options to get there before Hollywood Stuios opens?

    Hi Jennifer.

Welcome to the Moms Panel and congratulations for your Magical upcoming vacations at Disney!

The Jedi Training Academy, at the Disney´s Hollywood Studios, is an amazing experience for the kids, from preschoolers (0-5 years) to tweens (10-12 years).  I have an 8 years old boy and a 6 years old girl that have been on the training twice and fought against the "Dark Side" and loving it.

From the amazing Polynesian Resort you have the option of using the complimentary Disney Bus services, which will take you and your family directly from the Resort to Disney´s Hollywood Studios.  Make sure you jump in one of the buses marked with the name of the Park you want to visit.  Buses usually start the route one hour to one hour and a half before the Park's opening time and have a frequency of 15-20 minutes.  Confirm at your Resort's front desk the best time to wait for the bus in order to arrive at the Park´s opening time.

Another option you might want to consider is the taxi service, which might represent the fastest way to move from the Disney´s Resort to the Park. However, this option represents an additional expense.

While planning our last two vacations at Disney, we took the advantage of having breakfast at Hollywood & Vine, which is a Character Dinning experience at the Disney´s Hollywood Studios. The restaurant opens at 8:00 am, one hour before Park´s opening time.  Making our reservations earlier in the morning, allowed us to finish our breakfast just at the Park´s opening time, moving then to the ABC Sound Studio to sign-up.

Happy to help you plan your next Disney Vacation.
Hope to hear more from you.
