Welcome to planDisney, Mary Sandra! I'm so excited that you came to ask us this question because
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are my favorite perk of staying at a
Disney Deluxe Resort. I'll also be there around that time for the
Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, and I'm really looking forward to some extra time at
Magic Kingdom Park!
Mary Sandra, if you have a
valid ticket for the day and you're staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Extended Evening Theme Park Hours are included with your admission! No special ticket is required. If you have a ticket without the Park Hopper Option, you will need to have a
Disney Park Pass reservation for Magic Kingdom Park that day. If you have an
Annual Pass or a ticket with the Park Hopper Option, then you can go anywhere else during the day and visit Magic Kingdom Park at night for only this special extra time, if that's what you want to do!
One of the great perks of this extra time in the Theme Park is that there's an additional opportunity to ride
TRON Lightcycle / Run! On nights with Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at Magic Kingdom park, Guests can request to join the
virtual queue at 6:00 PM. Here's the best part: it's a completely separate virtual queue from the 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM drops, so you can join again if you've already ridden once that day!
I hope this answers your question, Mary Sandra, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
Jessica
