We are staying at the Polynesian but my husband needs to work remote on our check in day. Is there a good spot to do that?

    Aloha, Brad!

Welcome to planDisney and mahalo for bringing us a fantastic Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I’m so excited to hear that you and your husband will be checking in at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in just a short couple of days! The ambiance of the warm glow of the tiki torches along the beachfront, the incredible cuisine, and the abundance of transportation options available make it my favorite Disney Resort hotel on property. I can’t wait for you and your husband to experience the magic here!

Brad, your question surfed in at the perfect time, because I’m actually on-site enjoying a stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort right now. I’ve found myself working from this Resort hotel a handful of times and am happy to share that there are plenty of places to work quietly while you’re waiting for a Guest room to become available! Each longhouse at this Resort hotel offers a small seating area near the elevators or entry area with access to power outlets. I’ve worked from the common seating area in Tokelau several times and found it to be generally quiet during the day. (So much so, that we’ve done naptime in this same location!) You'll find complimentary Wi-Fi service throughout the resort.

Another great option for remote work is inside the Great Ceremonial House, Brad. While Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is always bustling with Guests, I can usually find somewhere uncrowded in the main lobby to get some work done. I recommend speaking with a friendly Cast Member at the Front Desk as soon as you arrive to inquire about room availability. Sometimes, Guests are able to check in to their rooms earlier than expected, based on availability. It wouldn’t hurt to explain to the Cast Member that your husband will need to work remotely that day and see if they have any additional suggestions!

Brad, I hope this information helps your husband to have a productive arrival day at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once he’s able to log off, I hope that you both have a most magical and memorable time together! If you have any additional questions before or during your visit, you’re always welcome to write to us again at planDisney. We’re all ears!

    See ya real soon,

    Lauren
