Staying at Polynesian from feb 10-13 with 3 kids, going to MK one day. Extra magic hours on the 12th so should we avoid that day even though we are eligible? Better to go 11th ? What time should we arrive at MK in the morning to minimize lines? Thanks!!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Olivia!

It sounds like you have a wonderful getaway planned!  I just love the vacation-ey retro tiki vibe at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.

I recommend choosing to visit Magic Kingdom Park on whatever day you think works best for your family.  I see no reason to avoid the evening Extra Magic Hours being held on February 12th.  In fact, since you will only be spending one day at Magic Kingdom Park, I think visiting on a day with Extra Magic Hours will help you get the most magic out of your day.

I tend to be a "rope-drop" girl, planning to arrive at the theme parks in plenty of time to be among the first Guests to enter.  Wait times for attractions are usually at their shortest first thing in the morning.  I just took a look at the park hours for next week, and I see Magic Kingdom Park is scheduled to open at 9:00 am.  Guests may actually enter the park about an hour prior to scheduled park open to make their way up Main Street, U.S.A. toward Cinderella Castle, where the "Let the Magic Begin" welcome show takes place at 8:55 am.  Guests are welcome to stop for photos, browse the shops, and grab a morning beverage and pastry at Main Street Bakery.  Depending on how much time you think you will want to spend on Main Street, U.S.A., I would plan to arrive between 8:00 and 8:30.

The first hour or so after park opening and Extra Magic Hours will be your best bets for enjoying attractions with lower wait times, along with FastPass+.  I would take advantage of the proximity of your Resort Hotel to take a break for a swim, nap, or quiet meal during the mid-day hours when the parks are at their busiest.  When you return in the evening, you'll be refreshed and ready to enjoy those Extra Magic Hours!

I hope that helps!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  Enjoy your stay!
