We are staying at the Polynesian during our vacation May 11 - May 18, 2024. We will be having a birthday breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Will the walkway between the Poly and Grand Floridian be open during our stay?

Hey Howdy Hey Traci and welcome to planDisney!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my favorite resort to stay at or visit during any trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. The whole resort is just so relaxing and calming yet so close to so much of the Magic and excitement of Magic Kingdom that I feel it is just the best of both worlds! Thank you for stopping by with your question on the walkway to and from the Polynesian to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. I will be happy to give you more information on expectations for your upcoming trip.

When it comes to major construction in Disney, everything is done in a way to minimizes the impact on the Guest experience. The walkway between the Polynesian and Grand Floridian will be open as much as possible just know that with all of the construction, safety is the priority, so you may want to also have a backup plan just in case the walkway is closed on your day you need it.

I am sure I am not telling you anything you do not already know, but the Grand Floridian is the next stop on the Walt Disney World Monorail Resort Loop that you can easily catch from the front of the Polynesian. You might want to at least consider this for going to your reservation and then walking back from your breakfast, just to make sure you arrive on time with minimal risk for delays.

I hope you have the best time on your upcoming vacation. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
