Staying at Polynesian w/ Deluxe Dining & w/o a car. What Signature Dining Rest. are easy to get to. Other than those that are at the Grand Fl or Contemporary resorts. We will have a 6 & 4 yr with us, so we don't want a lot of waiting for trans

    Hi Mary!

I love the "Poly" and hope you will too!  Checking in makes you feel like you've just landed in the South Pacific!  The tropical lobby is absolutely gorgeous!  You asked me to "skip" the signature restaurants at the Grand Floridian and Contemporary, so I'll start with Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge.  My husband and I have shared a few wonderful "Disney date nights" there, and absolutely loved it.  The food and wine list are very impressive.  (I love the beef tenderloin and my hubby likes the scallops.)  Another great choice is Bistro de Paris at Epcot (this is located upstairs from Les Chefs de France).  Getting to Epcot from the Poly is a snap, as you can simply hop on the monorail from your resort to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then switch to another monorail to Epcot.  If you are spending the day at Epcot, you can exit through the International Gateway, and then walk over to Flying Fish Cafe  (located at the Boardwalk resort) and/or Yachtsman Steakhouse (located at the Yacht & Beach Club).  Both are on our list of Signature Dining favorites.

Since you have so many dining credits on the deluxe dining plan, another suggestion I have is to enjoy one of Disney's fabulous dinner shows.  Your family can enjoy the Spirit of Aloha Show without leaving your resort, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ and the Hoop de do Review are easy to get to at the Fort Wilderness Resort (simply go to the Magic Kingdom and hop on a boat to the Fort.)

Have a wonderful trip with your family!
