I am staying at the Polynesian with a 4 day park hopper ticket Is it true that I MUST purchase a lightning lanes pass for every single day in order to take advantage of the 7-day advance window? Or could I just book a lightning lane for 1 or 2 days?

Hey there, heigh there, ho there, Shayna! Welcome to planDisney!

You'll be arriving at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort in just a few short weeks, and I'll admit I'm a teensy bit jealous! With its tropical theming and laid-back vibes, the Polynesian is one of my very favorite Walt Disney World resorts. I know you'll want to make the most of your time in the theme parks (and honestly, who could blame you?), but I also hope you'll make time to relax by the Lava Pool, enjoy a DOLE Whip from Pineapple Lanai, and maybe even grab a drink at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto!

Shayna, I know it seems impossible to do it all in Disney World - and that's because it is! But the good news is that with Disney's Lightning Lane system, you can save a whole bunch of time and fit more magic into your days. In fact, my family loves using Lightning Lane because it means we get more of those slower moments...like time for a snack or time at the pool!

That being said, I'm so excited to hear that you're planning to use the Lightning Lane system during your stay. As a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest, you can purchase both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass 7 days before check-in for the entire length of your stay (up to 14 days). And here's the important part: you do NOT need to buy a Lightning Lane Multi Pass for every day of your stay to utilize this advanced booking window. Lightning Lane is a flexible system, and you are welcome to pick and choose the specific dates that work best for your family!

While the Lightning Lane system is one of my favorite Disney World mouseketools, remember that it's a convenience, not a necessity, for a magical Disney vacation! My family uses Lightning Lane a lot, but there's certainly no shortage of magic on the days we go without. And my favorite tip for a Lightning Lane-less day? Jump on popular rides during the fireworks at night - the lines are way shorter than you'd think!

I hope this information is helpful, Shayna, and that you have a wonderful time on your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    Aloha,
