Aloha, Gyda, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite resorts in Disney World. And just like you, I'm counting down the days until a visit there this summer! While the summer months definitely bring the heat in Florida, I'm super excited to use my
free water park benefit, and for all the fun of
Cool KIDS' SUMMER. If you're not already aware of these features, be sure to check them out so you don't miss out on the magic!
Now, let's talk about dining. I'm so glad to hear you've purchased the
Disney Dining Plan for your stay. For the first time in forever, my family added the Dining Plan for our next visit, and I already feel so relaxed! Gyda, one of the things I love most about the Dining Plan is the sheer number of options. There are so many fantastic restaurants to choose from, and yes, some of them offer outdoor seating!
First off, I think you'll be happy to hear that there are two restaurants with outdoor seating right at the Polynesian! The first is
Capt. Cook's, located inside the Great Ceremonial House (also known as the lobby). This is a casual, quick-service location that requires 1 Quick Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan. The other option is the
Wailulu Bar & Grill. This one requires 1 Table Service credit and serves up delicious fresh fare, like poke bowls!
Honestly, some of my very favorite Disney World restaurants offer al fresco dining. These include
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney's Wilderness Lodge,
Nomad Lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, and
THE BOATHOUSE Restaurant at Disney Springs. You can also eat outside at
Spice Road Table,
Rose & Crown Dining Room, and
Tony's Town Square Restaurant, which are all considered Table Service locations.
So, what about Quick Service restaurants? Check out my personal favorites, Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbeque over at EPCOT!
I hope this is helpful, Gyda! If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney.
Cheers,
Allison
