Staying at poly 7/11-7/21 with 9 year old with severe developmental and moderate physical delays. Is there a way to speak with the hotel before our arrival concerning safety and security issues? Any suggestions about most convenient rooms? Thanks!

    Hello, Lisa,

You are welcome to speak to the resort beforehand; a mother's peace of mind is always important. The number for the resort is 407-824-2000.

At the Polynesian Resort, Tokelau is our family favorite longhouse (building) with its central location to the bus stop, the Great Ceremonial House (monorail), and then a short walk to the Ticket and Transportation Center where you can catch the monorail to go directly to Epcot.  It just seems to be right in the middle, not too far from anything!  Rarotonga is also quite similar in its proximity.

Since I'm not certain if you have a garden view, lagoon view, or Magic Kingdom view, which would then change the options of most convenience.  Also, would you like to be near or far away from the pools?  If the buildings I described don't seem like a good fit, I'm happy to help with more questions.  You may also find visiting www.tikimanpages.com helpful as it is a thorough website on the Polynesian Resort.

I just wanted to throw out a little information about a Guest Assistance Card. It is a card you can get at any Guest Relations in the parks if your child if s/he needs any accommodations.  If you click here, you can read about other guests inquiring about it.

I hope that this helps; please let us know if we can help again.  Have a magical trip!!
