Hi Amanda,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. I’ll be staying at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for the first time in over 10 years during my family’s upcoming visit and I’m so excited! You’re going to love staying there this September.
Although I’ve seen beach chairs and loungers scattered along the sand, I would definitely recommend bringing a beach towel, just in case they’re all occupied by other Guests. Because the movie and campfire usually take place on the beach (not too far from each other), think it’s definitely possible to enjoy all that the Resort has to offer in terms of nighttime entertainment in one night, including watching
Wishes nighttime spectacular and the
Electrical Water Pageant. Find a great spot and stick with it and you should be good to go! If, however, you have little ones in your group, you may find that they’re unable to stay awake for everything. Make sure they have a good nap that afternoon, if possible.
Of course, make sure to check your Resort’s daily entertainment guide in order to confirm that all of the activities will be taking place on the night you’d like to experience them and that they haven’t moved the movie and campfire to another location, away from the beach! If that happens, then I would recommend doing the movie and campfire one night, and the Electrical Water Pageant and Wishes on another night.
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
