Hi, we are staying at the Poly and have read it is best to hop on the resort monorail and do security check there to avoid crowds, then ride over to the transport centre to transfer to Epcot line. Is it true that expedites things more than walking over?Thx

Hi there, Kelly! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I know you must be over-the-moon excited for your upcoming stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! It is a beautiful Disney Resort hotel and I know you will have a magical time there.

Going through security at the Resort Monorail in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is definitely a time-saver for Magic Kingdom Park. Since you have already been through security before reaching the theme park, you are able to head straight to the entrance without going through security again.

For Epcot, however, taking the monorail from your Disney Resort hotel to the Transportation and Ticket Center, then switching to the Epcot Monorail will send you through security twice  - once at the Resort Monorail and again at the entrance for Epcot. To avoid this, you can walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, then get directly on the Epcot Monorail. By doing so, you've avoided the Resort Monorail security line and will only have to go through the Epcot security line.

I hope this information helps, Kelly! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
