Hi. Staying at the Poly Oct. 2009. Can you tell me the travel times from the resort to MK, Epcot, HS, AK, AKL (Boma), GF (1900 PF), WL and Hoop De Doo Review? Would it ever be faster to travel to any of these by car? Thanks.

Hello Heather - the Polynesian (Poly) is located in a fairly convenient location for the destinations you need to reach.  I am a big fan of using the Disney transportation.  For me, it's quite relaxing not to have to drive during my vacation!

First, you probably know that the Poly is located on the resort monorail loop.  You'll need to use the monorail, a bus and/or a boat to reach these destinations:

ºoº Magic Kingdom (MK): hop on the monorail -  MK is your 2nd stop (allow 5-10 minutes)

ºoº Epcot: hop on the monorail; exit at the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC) - 4th stop - follow overhead signage and transfer to the Epcot monorail (allow 30-40 minutes)

ºoº  Hollywood Studios (HS)/Animal Kingdom (AK):  take bus from resort to HS or AK (separate buses).  Buses arrive at the resort approximately every 15 minutes (allow an additional 20-25 minutes to reach destination)

ºoº  Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL):  hop on the monorail; exit at MK (2nd stop); walk to bus depot and board bus to AKL (allow 30-35 minutes)

ºoº  Grand Floridian (GF):  hop on the monorail; exit at first stop (allow 5 minutes).  Note: if you feel like walking, there is a pathway from the Poly to the GF (10-15 minute walk).

ºoº  Wilderness Lodge (WL):  hop on the monorail; exit at MK (2nd stop); walk to boat launch; take boat to WL (allow 30-45 minutes)

ºoº  Hoop De Doo (located at Fort Wilderness (FW)):  hop on the monorail; exit at MK (2nd stop); walk to boat launch, take boat to FW (allow 45-60 minutes for commute and check-in)

(Note for last two Mickey bullets, you also have the option of taking a boat from the Poly to MK and transferring boats to WL/FW.)

    I hope this helps!  Diane
