Welcome back to planDisney, Kevin! The
holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are extra special - from the seasonal snacks, holiday-themed special events, and the dazzling decorations at the Theme Parks and Disney Resort hotels, there's extra magic around every corner!
Kevin, on nights when Magic Kingdom Park hosts
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Guests without a party ticket will be expected to leave at park closing, typically an hour before the party events officially begin. Cast Members will ensure that Guests who do not have a party ticket are escorted from the park at closing time. Because party events like
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade and
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show are exclusive party offerings, they are only available to party-goers on these select nights.
If you're interested in seeing these events, I would recommend purchasing a party ticket! With your party ticket, you can enter Magic Kingdom starting as early as 4 PM on a party night. My family often uses the party days as a chance to sleep in and then grab a late lunch before entering the park right at 4 PM. This gives us a few extra hours to enjoy some of our favorite attractions or meet with some of our favorite characters before the party events begin! As another option, if you are unable to attend the party, you can catch a glimpse of Magic Kingdom fireworks from several different places in the Magic Kingdom resort area, including from the beaches at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, so after returning to your Disney Resort hotel, you can grab a drink from
Trader Sam's and settle down to watch the Christmas fireworks from afar!
Kevin, I hope you find lots of seasonal magic this winter at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other vacation planning questions before you arrive, come back to
planDisney and let us know!
Stay Merry and Magical,
Alison
