Staying at Poly in May & know my kids will want to play in the sand. Do I need to pack sand/beach play things or can we purchase basic shovel & pails at the resort?

Hello Angela, you can indeed purchase pails and shovels at the Polynesian (Poly) gift shop.  I'd also like to suggest you purchase or bring insect repellent.  The sand fleas don't seem to bother all (out of our family of 5, two of us seem to be a snack for the fleas each time we visit the beach) but better safe than sorry.

I hope you enjoy the Poly beach.  It's very relaxing.  There are plenty of chairs, a few benches and of course hammocks.  You'll also be able to enjoy the Wishes fireworks and the nightly Electrical Water Pageant.

Have a magical vacation!  Diane  :)
