    Staying at the Poly in May 2011, CAN'T WAIT! It’s my fiancé’s first time. We would love to see it all and are hoping you can give us some advice on the best way to get from the Poly to Boardwalk/ Downtown Disney and back. Thanks so much :)

    I feel your excitement - not long to wait now!

    The best way to get from Disney's Polynesian Resort to Downtown Disney would be to simply catch a bus from your resort straight there. The journey will take around 30 minutes once you are on the bus.

    The quickest way to get from Disney's Polynesian Resort to Disney's Boardwalk would be to take the monorail from your resort to Magic Kingdom and then from there catch a bus to Disney's Boardwalk Inn. As a guide, I always allow at least one hour when travelling from one resort to another.

    If the Magic Kingdom will not be open at the time you plan on taking the journey, you would need to take a bus from your resort to Downtown Disney and then from there take another bus to Disney's Boardwalk Inn. Taking time which will be spent waiting for buses to arrive into consideration, I would allow approximately 75 minutes for this journey.
