Another ?..Staying at Poly Jan.2011..If I want to have breakfast at Captain Cook's, is that considered a table service or quick service..1st time using dining plan..LOVE THE PANEL..SO HELPFUL!!!

    Michele:

Captain Cook's is the Polynesian's Quick Service Restaurant. It's like a miniature Piccadilly cafeteria, where you choose items a la carte and then pay at the cash register.

Let me give you a piece of advice, though, when using the dining plan. Some of the food court restaurants in the resorts don't have signage on their menus as to what can count as a quick service credit. Don't hesitate to ask the cashier what they will include both for a drink and a dessert, as every resort has a different selection, but the cashiers will know because they are checking you out.

In March when I went to Captain Cook's for my favorite dessert: a DoleWhip (pineapple soft-serve ice cream), I was surprised at how crowded it was during the evening. So you may want to have one person in your party get you a table while the others get their meals.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
