    Staying at Poly for the first time. I would like to request a longhouse but not sure which one. Would like to be close to monorail and dining area at hotel. If we don't get near what we want, how large is the resort? Is it easy to get around in short time?

    I absolutely love Disney's Polynesian Resort. In my opinion, the ambiance and location just cannot be beat!
    To be closest to the monorail, bus stops and resort dining, your best bets to 'request' would be Rarotonga or Aotearoa longhouses. A good 'third' choice to add would be the south end of the Tokelau longhouse. Do keep in mind that a 'request' is just that and cannot be guaranteed, although Cast Members will do their best to meet your requests based on availability at the time of room assignment.

    Call (407) 939-7675 and ask the Cast Member you speak with to place a 'note' on your resort reservation file, indicating your specific requests.

    The grounds at Disney's Polynesian Resort are moderate in size. You won't have a terribly long walk to any location even if you are not able to be accommodated in the exact location you prefer. Rooms at the furthest, east end of the property are just a hop, skip and a jump to the Transportation and Ticket Center Monorails to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, which I also find to be a great location!
