Staying at the Poly in Feb 2009. I was wondering where would be the best places to watch the various nighttime shows at the parks to allow for hopefully an easy exit? Thanks! Love the panel, you are all so helpful.

For an easy exit, use the following strategies:

Epcot - sit on or near the bridge that spans from the United Kingdom to France. After Illuminations, proceed to the Beach Club and take a taxi back to your resort. Another option would be to take a bus to Downtown Disney and then transfer to your hotel bus. For a Future World exit, sit in Showcase Plaza (near or on the bridge going to the Odyssey Center) and then walk quickly toward the front of the park to board the bus or monorail.

Fantasmic - facing the stage, sit to the right of the theater. You could also let the crowds ahead of you and sit for a few minutes. Then proceed out of the theater without being caught in the middle of the exiting mob.

Magic Kingdom - watch the parade (if two parades are being shown, choose the last one) from in front of City Hall. Once the parade goes by, exit the park immediately. Fireworks can be seen from Main Street. Position yourselves as far down Main Street towards the Railroad Station as possible. You are then ahead of the crowd. If you find yourselves exiting down Main Street with the rest of the crowd, enter one of the stores and proceed down Main Street by cutting through the shops!

If you are in no hurry to exit, but simply want to avoid crowds then in all parks let the crowds disperse ahead of you. Stay put, enjoy the evening, have a snack or make plans for your next day. You can then enjoy a leisurely stroll out of the park.
