Staying at POFQ 6/2016. Want to try one of the mini golf courses possibly in the evening. What is the best form of transportation to and from. No car. Are they walking distance to a hotel?

    Hi, Kristin!

You are staying at my very favorite Disney Resort! French Quarter is truly my "home away from home!" I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and I do.

Let's start with walking! The only destination within walking distance from French Quarter is its sister resort, Riverside. It is a lovely 10 minutes walk along the Sassagoula River. Head to Riverside to rent bikes with the family. It is a great way to explore. If you have a free evening, walk there to see YeHaa Bob who performs several nights a week. He is entertaining for the whole family!

If you plan to go to miniature golf, there are 2 options:

*Winter Summerland is the same bus and bus stop as Blizzard Beach. Catch a bus directly there from French Quarter.
*If you plan to go to Fantasia Gardens, take the bus to either Magic Kingdom or Disney Springs and transfer to a bus to the Swan Resort. Fantasia Gardens is across the street.

It is a bit more difficult to get to Fantasia Gardens, but for more fun you can stroll the Boardwalk after mini-golfing, and even rent a surrey bike or get ice cream. It really does make for some fun family time.

Enjoy your stay in Walt Disney World!
