We are staying at POFQ. We were told we can also use the pool ar POR. Is this a good idea or is it a hassle to go back & forth between resorts? We have DS11 & DS9 who might enjoy the variety. Not sure if it would take too much time? Thx!

We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last September and did have the opportunity to walk from our home resort over to Port Orleans French Quarter, though we didn't use the pool there.  The walk from one to the other is a pleasant one.  The path is right next to the Sassagoula River and you have the opportunity to see lots of gorgeous landscaping.

As for whether or not it would take too long, I can tell you that it took us about twenty minutes one way.  We had two small children with us (as well as two older ones) who were in no hurry.  I would think that your boys would enjoy the opportunity to use both pools and as long as you plan for the twenty or so minutes it will take to make the trip, I think it would be a nice activity for all of you.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
