Staying at POFQ. It only has one pool. I know we can go to Riverside but is the pool at POFQ always very busy since it is the only pool? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Debra!

Congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!
I absolutely LOVE Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Hands down, it's my favourite of all the moderate resorts.

Although there is indeed only one pool at the resort, since the resort itself is amongst the smallest on property, this doesn't pose a problem. The "Doubloon Lagoon" is a fairly large pool with plenty of lounge chairs available around the deck. I don't think you'll find there to a problem at all! We were there during Thanksgiving one year and the weather was nice and warm and the pool still wasn't busy at all!

You certainly may choose to head over to check out the neighboring Riverside's Ol' Man Island pool area if you choose, however I think you will find that pool to be busier. There are four additional 'quiet' pools over at Riverside (no water slides at those). Both Doubloon Lagoon and Ol' Man Island include a water slide at the feature pool area.

If you have additional questions about Port Orleans French Quarter, or other questions about your vacation, please feel free to write me back directly! I'd love to hear from you again Debra!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
