We will be staying at POFQ in Oct, wife will be using a scooter but can walk short distances. Can a scooter be used in boats to and from Disney Springs and Wilderness Lodge? Our 10th trip to the Magic.

    Welcome back, Joel!

Disney's Port Orleans-French Quarter is an excellent choice to celebrate your tenth trip to Walt Disney World Resort! The resort offers beautiful landscapes and is just full of southern charm!

I am happy to report that ferry boats used to transport Guests between Port Orleans and Disney Springs are accessible for Guests with Mobility Disabilities. Your wife should have no issues driving her scooter on and off the boat. She will need to transfer to a seat during the ride.

When traveling to and from Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Cast Members will call for an accessible boat if needed. It may take a few extra minutes before the Water Transportation arrives. Keep in mind that water access can be limited depending on water levels and conditions.

I hope you have a fantastic vacation and make many unforgettable memories! Please visit us again should other questions arise.

    Happy Planning!
