Hi moms staying at POFQ in may would like to see fireworks and water electrical pageant would you recommend driving to the Polynesian resort as my daughter doesn't like to be too close to the noise of the fireworks Thanks

Hi Lesley! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your vacation seems to be right around the corner! I hope that you are getting excited!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort are both great places to view both the Wishes nighttime spectacular fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant. You can either drive to the resorts if you have your own car with you, or you can take the Disney bus transportation to a theme park (I would travel to Magic Kingdom Park) and then take either the monorail or a bus to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. If you choose to visit Disney’s Contemporary Resort you can walk there from Magic Kingdom Park.

I have a child that is terrified of the noise of fireworks. We seemed to have found a good solution to help get her through and actually enjoy them! We purchased 3M Peltor Junior Earmuffs. They are noise cancelling and though they can still hear, the earmuffs really muffle the fireworks. I purchased them from Amazon for less than $25.00 US dollars. We used these earmuffs not only for my daughter, but also for my son who has a sensory processing and integration disorder. He is incredibly sensitive to noise. I am not sure if this is an option for you, but I thought if you wanted to catch fireworks from inside the park this may help!

I hope that you have a magical time!
