Hiya Pal!
In my view there is no better way to start your Disney day than by waking up to a delicious buffet breakfast hosted by none other than the "Big Cheese" himself, Mickey Mouse. There is good reason
Chef Mickey's is one of the most popular dining experiences at Walt Disney World, as there is nothing like breaking bread with Mickey Mouse and some of his best pals! Adding to this the spectacular location in the heart of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, with monorails gliding by overhead throughout your meal, and you can see why this place scores such rave reviews from guests.
Lisa, if you need to travel from
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your breakfast at Chef Mickey's, you may be able to take Disney's complimentary bus transportation to Magic Kingdom if the park is opening early or hosting Extra Magic Hours the morning of your breakfast. Generally Disney's bus transportation from Resorts starts about an hour prior to park opening. Plan on about 35 minutes for the trip to Magic Kingdom, and from there transfer by monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort, or you can take the convenient walkway path; about a 5-8 minute walk.
However, if buses will not be running to Magic Kingdom early enough on the day of your breakfast, you will need to arrange your own transportation. While
Minnie Van service is not currently operating from Disney's Port Orleans Resort, it may well have rolled out service to this Resort by the time of your stay. Otherwise, I suggest you plan to take a taxi or car service. The drive should take approximately 10 minutes.
