    We are staying at POFQ for the first time. We arrive 6/1/2011. The waterslide looks very cool! Is there a height/age requirement for use? All resorts have life jackets free of change correct?

    Port Orleans - French Quarter is one of my favorite Disney Resorts! And one of the reasons why my family loves it is Scales, the Serpent slide.



    There are lifeguards on duty at the pool, usually from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. during the summer months. On the sign next to Scales, there are no height or age restrictions posted. However it clearly says swimmers should be "strong" due to the current at the bottom of the slide. My daughter first enjoyed Scales when she was 5 years old and we felt it was the perfect introduction to water slides for her.



    Approved swimming aids are permitted on Scales. Life jackets are available free of charge from Jackson Square, the gift shop located at the Main Building.
