Staying at POFQ 6/2016. There are fences around both the pool around POFQ and riverside and have to use a magic band to get in to them. Will we be able to use the pool at riverside with our bands from POFQ since they are sister resorts?

    Hi Kristin,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is probably my favourite Moderate Resort Hotel at Walt Disney World Resort. I just love its theming, smaller size and the fact that it’s not a very long walk at all to get to the additional amenities located at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

One of those amenities is Riverside’s awesome “main” pool, ‘Ol Man Island. From what I understand, and based on my experience in past visits to Walt Disney World Resort, your MagicBand should allow you to visit Riverside’s pool area as well because, as you put it, you’re staying at its “sister” Resort. Of course, this policy is subject to change at any time so please check with a Cast Member at the French Quarter before you start walking over to Riverside (in order to avoid any potential disappointment if they’ve changed the policy).

As always, should you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
