Hi Moms! Staying at POFQ at the end of May. What building should I ask for? Never been to this resort! Also, do you have the phone number for this resort? Thank you very much for your help.

Hi, Ann!  One of the things I really like about Port Orleans French Quarter is that it is smaller than the other Moderate Resorts.  With just over 1,000 rooms, it is about half the size of other moderates.  Because of this, no matter what building you are in, you are never too far of a walk from anything.

That said, my favorite building is Building #2.  If you choose a water view, you might get a lovely room right along the Sassagoula River (request a RIVER view, a water view may just get you a view of the pool!)  We usually book a Standard Room, so this puts us close to the Food Court/Lobby area.  If you want a very quiet room with a river view, go for Buildings #1 or #7, the furthest from the pool area and all the action!

To make a reservation, call (407)W-DISNEY.  To call Port Orleans French Quarter directly, dial (407)934-5000.   Have a great stay at the French Quarter and make sure to try the beignets at the bakery!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
