We are staying at POFQ the beginning of May and would like a breakfast at the Polynesian before going to the MK and getting in as early as possible. What is our best way of getting there using Disney transportation?

    Welcome back to planDisney Betty!

I have one word for you. Beignets!
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter is one of my favorite resorts!  My wife and daughter recently spent a long weekend at the French Quarter and all I got was a picture of one of those warm, powdered-sugar delights! Even the picture was a treat!

All right, let's get you from the French Quarter to one of my Disney Vacation Club homes, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows for your breakfast reservation!

We will start with the fastest way. Disney Minnie Van Service would connect your dots and add a little pixie dust along the way. This whimsical personal ride is available via the Lyft app.

If you want to utilize Disney’s complimentary transportation you will need to catch a bus to Magic Kingdom Park from the French Quarter and transfer to a water launch or Resort Monorail bound for the Polynesian. I would allow you at least 60 minutes for your travel time.  I’m usually the one who likes to be at my reservation early so I can take in the sights and sounds of the peaceful Polynesian lobby!

We also use the time on the bus to check the menu on our My Disney Experience app, so we are ready to order once we sit down for our scrumptious breakfast!

After you fill up on your Mickey waffles, it's time to head to the magic! We love to ride the boat from the Polynesian across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom to start our day with Mickey and Minnie! The anticipation of a day in the parks and a Mickey Bar or two is just a few minutes away!

Have a Magical Day Betty and thanks for stopping by planDisney!
