Hello, we're staying at POFQ on 9/22-9/27. We have ADR for Planet Hollywood on 9/24 at 4:14 and was wondering which would be quicker, the bus or the boat? How far is the boat dock from Planet Hollywood? Thanks.

    Hi Elizabeth!

I love the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.  It is so cool because it is so close to Downtown Disney by bus or by boat.  It takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes of travel time to get from Port Orleans French Quarter to Downtown Disney by the boat and buses.  The crucial thing is how long that you will have to wait for a bus or a boat to come because you will have to add this wait time to your total travel time.  Typically the buses come every 20 minutes.  French Quarter and Riverside Resorts share the same buses so this will add to your travel time.  The boats typically come every hour before 4:00 pm and then every 15 minutes after 4:00 pm.  The boat dock for the French Quarter is at the Marketplace by the Rainforest Cafe which is about a 10 minute walk from Planet Hollywood.  At the Marketplace Dock you could transfer to a Downtown Disney Water Taxi and go to the Pleasure Island Dock by Paradiso 37 which is really close to Planet Hollywood.  I would recommend that you begin your journey between 3:00 pm and 3:15 pm so that you can make it to your Planet Hollywood Advanced Dining Reservation without feeling rushed.  If you arrive early, you can always do a little shopping in Downtown Disney!

I hope that you have a magical time filled with amazing memories on your next vacation in Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
