Staying at PO Riverside at WDW in june. The plan to get to MK is: bus to Epcot then monorail to the TTC then boat to MK. Does that make sense or am I over complicating this.

Hello Paul!  This does sound like a great plan and does provide a great scenic route, but if you are looking at saving on time, you just need to get on the Magic Kingdom bus from your resort.  Every resort offers transportation to all of the four Disney Parks. You just need to locate the sign for the park you wish to visit and this will take you straight to the gates.
I hope this helps, but please let me know if I can help with any other questions that may come up.  I hope you and your family have a fantastic time at Walt Disney World and that many new magical memories are made.
