Staying at PO Riverside first week of April. Have 9:10am reservation at Chef Mickeys. Is taking a bus to Epcot and then the monorail to Contemporary an option? Kids want to ride the monorail and not sure how to include it in our trip?

    Hello, Louie,

Isn't it so much fun to know that a Walt Disney World trip is just a couple of months away! And to make it even better, you have dining reservations at Chef Mickey's, which is so much fun to visit with Mickey and his friends. I think your transportation plan can work, but it might take longer than expected.  Might I suggest that you take a bus from your resort to the Magic Kingdom.  Once there, you can take the resort monorail over to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  If you have extra time, you can actually take it around the resort loop, which goes around the entire Seven Seas Lagoon before it returns to Disney's Contemporary Resort.

When you are done dining and if you have time, you can take the same monorail from the resort to the Ticket and Transportation Center and transfer to the Epcot monorail.  You can then take a round trip to Epcot and back for a fun monorail ride.  I love the ride to Epcot from the Magic Kingdom because the monorail actually goes over several areas in Future World of Epcot, which are fun to see from up above.
Of course, you could do this anytime while you are at the Magic Kingdom since the monorail ride can be a nice break in the day.
