Hi Jennifer,

I assume since you have a family of five that you will be staying in the Alligator Bayou section of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. Buildings 14, 18, and 27 would be my choice at this resort because rooms in these buildings put you very close to the main themed swimming pool, the Sassagoula Steamboat Company (resort center including gift shops, restaurants, and guest services), and the front bus stop. Alternately, buildings 37 and 38 are also good choices because of their proximity to the main themed pool and the North bus depot.

When you check-in to Disney's Port Orleans Resort, the friendly Cast Members will explain how the bus routes operate. Travel times to the Disney theme parks vary depending on time of day, but a good rule of thumb would be to allow yourself one hour between your point of origin and destination when utilizing complimentary Disney transportation.
