We are staying at PO French Quarter March 17-21 and wanted to know the best tips on how to set up getting the boat to Disney Springs-- is there a schedule or do we need to make a plan in advance?

    Hey Bob,

Welcome to planDisney! Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter happens to be one of my family's favorite resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. You've made a great choice for your upcoming trip! The proximity to Disney Springs and access to the Sassagoula River Cruise which is the water taxi that takes you there are both pretty amazing bonuses. You're going to love staying there.

There's no need to plan for utilizing the Sassagoula River Cruise in advance. This water taxi runs frequently - about every 15-30 minutes. Hours of operation vary depending on water and weather conditions. I think it's safe to plan to just head to the launch when you're ready to head to Springs! The dock is located on the opposite side of the Doubloon Lagoon pool (instead of heading toward the main lobby area, head in the opposite direction and you'll find it.)

Bob, during your stay I hope you'll make time for the important things: beignets! This resort is home to the famous Scat Cat's Club - Café where you'll find the most delectable beignets on property! In addition to that and the quick service dining location Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory, the dining options over at Port Orleans Riverside are a short walk or bus, or water taxi ride away, so keep those in mind too.

I hope this helps, Bob. Come on back and let us know if you need any additional planning help. See ya real soon!
