We will be staying at PO FR June 17-24 We have 2 boys. We have reservations for the Hoop de Due Review on Sat. June 20 at 5P. I was wondering what other options we have at Camp Wilderness after the show--wagon ride? electrical water parade? fireworks?

    Debra:

There's lots to do at Fort Wilderness, especially after sunset!

Since you're attending the 5 p.m Hoop dee Doo, you'll be getting out near 6:45 p.m. and the departure time of the first wagon ride of the night.  It leaves from near Pioneer Hall (where you'll be).  The trip is usually 45 minutes, you'll be back in time to go to the campfire sing-along with Chip 'n' Dale near the middle of the campground.

If by chance you miss the wagon, my suggestion is to take a leisure stroll up the main thoroughfare toward The Meadows Trading Post.  Take a tour of the Trading Post and mosey out the back toward Chip 'n' Dale's campfire sing-along.  They'll light the fire pots around 7:30 for s'mores and at 8:00, you'll be greeted by a singing cowboy to welcome you and lead in the singing.  During the show, Chip 'n' Dale work the crowd for pictures and it's over by 8:25.

The Magic Kingdom fireworks can be seen at 10:00 p.m. from the Fort Wilderness pier and beach on that Saturday according to the park calendar at www.disneyworld.com.  So you can spend the time between the campfire and fireworks either hopping on the 9:15 p.m. Wagon Ride (in case you missed the earlier one) or stayiing for the Disney movie that follows the campfire for a while and then heading to the beach for the water pageant.  (The water pageant's time changes, so you'll need to check with a cast member.)

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
