We are staying the PO FQ how long is the walk to Riverside for supper reservations? After a day at the parks would it be smarter to take a bus, or does the boat go there?

    Hi, Jone!

I love the walk between Riverside and French Quarter along the Sassagoula River.  It is about a 10 minute walk so it is not far at all.  There is boat service, but by the time  you wait for the boat, you probably could have walked over, but it is up to you!

Boat service from French Quarter is recommended when heading to Downtown Disney.  It is a delightful 20 minute ride and you will get a great view of the Tree House Villas and Saratoga Springs before arriving at the awesome Downtown Disney area.

When visiting Riverside, make sure you take time to enjoy the entertainment of Yee Haw Bob!  Just listen for the singing and follow the laughter to this family friendly entertainer.  At your home resort of French Quarter, make sure to try the fresh Beignets at the bakery, yum!

Enjoy your stay at Port Orleans French Quarter - it is one my very favorite resorts on property!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
