Hello, We are staying at the Pixar Place over spring break in about 15 days. Is there any update on the timeline of the pool and if it will be open?

Hello Jake, and welcome to planDisney! It's always exciting to talk about the Pixar Place Hotel. It perfectly embodies the creativity and whimsy we see in Pixar films. The attention to detail is unmatched – I notice something new each time I visit. The rooftop deck is a popular spot, with a pool, splash pad, waterslide, and game area. I completely understand why you're interested to know when it will reopen.

I wish I had more of an update for you, Jake, but here's what we know: The rooftop pool deck started a refurbishment earlier this month, and no reopening date has been announced as of now. I double-checked with a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that information is not yet available. I suggest checking the hotel's webpage about the pools just before your trip to see if an update is made between now and your arrival date.

I do have some good news, though! You'll be able to "just keep swimming" during your upcoming trip even if the pool deck is still closed. That's because, during the refurbishment, you'll have full access to the fantastic pools at the nearby Disneyland Hotel. The pool area has a tropical vibe and hints of nostalgia. There are small water slides for the little ones, larger Monorail-themed slides, a Steamboat Willie splash pad, and multiple pools and hot tubs. It isn't too far of a walk, but the Cast Member mentioned that special shuttles may be available to hotel Guests for easy pool access.

One of my favorite things about the Pixar Place Hotel is the chance to enjoy the Disneyland fireworks from the rooftop deck. The good news is that, even with the refurbishment, Guests can still gather there to watch the show on select nights. This was a highlight of my stay at this hotel last summer.

For something a little different, check out Pixar Putt, a limited-time interactive miniature golf course inspired by beloved Pixar films. You can purchase tickets and book a tee time online in advance. During your stay, you might encounter Bing Bong from "Inside Out" greeting guests in the lobby. I also like that the hotel offers special activities for Guests, such as a drawing class at The Sketch Pad Café. One of my favorite perks to this hotel is the special entrance to California Adventure.

Jake, while I don't have an answer about the reopening date, I hope this other information has sprinkled some pixie dust on your plans. I'm wishing on a star that your journey is full of memories as vibrant and joyful as a Pixar adventure.

    Your pal,
    Kriss
